Marble sculpture.....you will find that these figures have no stright lines...rather...flowing curves..It is this translucency that gives a marble sculpture a visual depth beyond its surface and this evokes a certain realism when used for figures.....i like old marble much more then new marbles just too white and the stone....no depth on tone....which come from floors in the rock
